The SpecSeal EP Powershield Electrical Box Insert is designed to protect steel electrical boxes and maintain fire-resistance ratings of wall assemblies. Ideal for use by electrical distributors and switchgear suppliers, this intumescent insert installs directly against the back of steel electrical boxes to provide firestopping when horizontal separation between metallic boxes on opposite sides of a wall is less than 24 inches. Suitable for lighting solutions and wire and cable applications, it supports both remediation and preinstallation workflows, ensuring compliance with fire safety standards.
