Scotch® Fire-Retardant Electric Arc Proofing Tape 77 is a premium-grade, 30 mil thick, flame retardant tape designed for electrical distributors and lighting solutions applications to protect electrical cables from electric arcs and fires. Rated for 600V, this tape is ideal for use in switchgear supplier environments and wire and cable systems where cables run in close proximity and are susceptible to potential arc faults. Its intumescent elastomer backing swells when exposed to heat, creating a protective char layer that helps minimize damage to critical energy cables in substations, manholes, vaults and cable trays.
